Power Generation (Commercial Building)

Case Study

Our client is an entrepreneurial real estate development investment organization that focuses on complex, creatively financed projects across the United States. They specialize in corporate dispositions, REOs, and other types of vacant or distressed industrial properties with a primary focus of recycling and re-tenanting these properties.

Their group has developed and operated over 25 million square feet of commercial and  industrial property across 25 states over the past 30 years. They have operated across the United States over the past 30 years while owning or operating real estate in more than twenty five states, while currently active in CA, TX, SC, MD, GA, OH, MI, MS, KY and IN.

The Objective

In an effort to assist our client in reducing their long term energy spend and increasing the property value (NOI) in a property located in Midwestern US, we designed and engineered a customized hybrid on site power generation system comprised of Solar Photovoltaic (PV), Energy Storage and Natural Gas GenSets to supply facility needs with a reliable off grid energy source. Supply customer with a hassle free and risk free solution by providing 100% of the project design, planning, execution and financing needed to create a widely successful project which delivers reliable energy and a positive bottom line impact on the business.

The Solution

Designed and engineered an off grid sustainable power generation solution to include: 1.) 300 kW Rooftop Solar Photovoltaic (PV) solution with ballast tracking system, string combiners, inverters, and power monitoring system controls; 2.) 1000 kW Lead Crystal energy storage solution with string manager; and 3.) 334 kW Natural Gas GenSet solution with power management technology modules to integrate with energy storage string manager for communication with energy storage and Photovoltaic Solar Array in order to assist in proper charging schedule designation.
